在外人看来，王伟是不折不扣“富二代”。33岁的他现任上海国金投资发展有限公司董事长，这家注册在上海浦东新区的公司由其父创建。
2005年，王伟在加州伯克利大学获得经济学硕士学位后被要求回到中国，为了缓冲，他选择到上海复旦大学攻读经济学博士学位。“当时不想回国，因为有自己的兴趣，同时对中国很陌生；但家里的事情也是一份责任，父母年纪大了不能让他们操心。”
此次研修班授课内容包括中国最新的经济政策、政治体制、相关法律法规以及中华传统文化等。王伟一堂课也没有缺席。他说，“老师讲的待友以诚的理念给我触动很大，因为在国外更注重合约精神”。
与王伟一样，班上很多同学经营的都是家族生意。1978年出生的曹代腾，现为福建省耀华工业村开发有限公司总经理，其父为福耀玻璃集团创始人曹德旺。在5月初发布的《2012年胡润慈善榜》中，其家族以36.4亿元的捐赠额蝉联“中国最慷慨的慈善家”。
1988年出生的张臣荣是印尼的第三代华人，幼时曾经在新加坡学习中文，2008年在美国读完大学，后到北京清华大学读MBA，“家里在天津有投资，主营业务与中国也有很大联系，父亲希望我更多地了解中国”。
在张臣荣看来，“父亲那个年代不读书只要勤劳就可以赚钱，现在公司做大了更需要现代化的管理理念”。
和张臣荣同龄的还有来自马来西亚的刘国耀，24岁的他是马来西亚侨领丹斯里刘南辉之子，现任汉联机构有限公司业务发展经理。
“我发现在国外学到的东西和实际还是不一样的”。2011年，刘国耀刚刚从澳大利亚墨尔本读完工商管理专业回到马来西亚。他说，“学校里所教的东西很严谨，但只有父亲才会毫无保留地把经营的智慧教给你”。

“侨二代”接班有助于推动华商企业转型升级，提升华商企业管理水平及产品层次。
任启亮说，华商企业总体上来说都是家族式的企业，都是经过老一代创业者几十年甚至更长时间的积累和发展起来的，企业创建者都具有艰苦奋斗、勤俭节约、诚信经营的中华传统美德，其成功在很大程度上也得益于在企业经营过程中对中华文化的传承和弘扬。
而海外华裔青年企业家大多在国外出生、长大，受过良好的教育，他们的视野更为开阔，观念也发生了巨大变化，“不容否认，有很大一部分已经不想再回到家族企业中来”。
“然而不管是愿意还是不愿意，无论是主动还是被动，客观形势已经将新一代推到了接班的岗位上来。”任启亮说，与上一代比，他们的知识面更广、层次更高、现代化的观念和知识更加丰富；但其不足在于缺乏吃苦耐劳、艰苦奋斗的精神和一点一滴创业、积累的经历。
任启亮认为，海外华裔青年企业家接班，必须将现代的知识和观念、国际化的视野与中华民族艰苦奋斗的优良传统、诚信经营的中华文化理念相结合。
“无论是来华参与企业经营，还是学习中文、留学、观光，海外华裔青年企业家了解中国的途径已经很多。”任启亮指出，随着经济全球化的推动，中国作为海外华商企业市场、原材料、加工基地等的地位将更加凸显，海外华裔青年企业家与中国的联系也会越来越密切，越来越深入。
中国多数“富二代”不愿接班
中国国内家族企业未来10年也将全面进入“二世”时代。但是人民网报道说，目前多达82%的国内“富二代”表示不愿主动接班。

余明阳教授分析说，中国民营企业的接班人们大多具有国外留学背景或在国内名校获得学位，视野开阔，多数具有领导特质，但与“草根”父辈相比，他们缺乏从第一 线生产、营销、甚至建厂房、搬货品、搞推销等草创的市场磨练，多数是大学毕业后进入企业担任高管，或由一般公务员等转入企业，在企业里面其身份特殊，没有 过多的压力、委屈、磨难。因父辈创业忙碌，在他们成长阶段较少交流相处，很多接班人生活环境较为特殊，养成较强的自我个性，往往与父辈成为传承或互补两种 极端的性格走向。与父辈创业时一群患难兄弟相辅佐不同，大多数接班人所交的朋友圈子是共同享乐的酒肉兄弟。一些70后、80后受网络影响深刻，具有新新人 类内心孤独、自主感受强烈等文化特质。他们钟情于“虚拟经济”，对于网络、电子商务、盈利模式、VC、PE等投资方式兴趣浓厚，对创办实业、成本控制、精 细化管理等则兴趣不足。
“富二代”们不愿意接班，有的是对严厉、小气、事无巨细、自以为是的父辈不满，有的是对传统产业无兴趣，有的养尊处优惯了以后不习惯被约束，有的是国外生活多年不适应国内风格。大部分接班者都是被动接班，且接班后与父辈及原始创业人群冲突显着。
而在上海交大王方华教授看来，“二世”们不愿意接班，主要是长期看到太多父辈们的辛苦与无助。
